C-Section Mommies - Question For You!?
Did the anesthesiologist give you something for nerves (more than likely, through an IV) before your c-section or were you just given the epidural or spinal block?
I had such a horrible experience during my first c-section that I'm quite scared about having another (scheduled for May). Ultimately, the spinal block didn't work so I had to be put out under general anesthesia. I'm wondering if I can be given something to calm my nerves this time around before/during the actual surgery...
And please don't answer with a generic "Ask your doctor". Obviously, I will do this as my due date gets closer (In fact, I am going to meet with the anesthesiologist directly).

I just had my baby in Nov born C-Section and yes I did have something for nerves and anxiety and before I knew it she was born and all was wonderful...I had my epidural first and then they gave me something in my IV

I didn't have anything and honestly I didn't think to ask. I had the same experience with my last that you did. They tried the spinal block several times (9 to be exact) and then I asked to be put under. I hope they can give you something. If I was having another, I would definitely be finding out!! Good luck!
