Can someone tell me if Java Script is essential, as I havent got it?

When I went on the net and was going to download it free, there was a message from the company saying Microsoft only had use of it until December 2007 then it would end in that format. This involved then buying some other software from Java Script. I might have got some facts wrong, but it has worried me. Anyone else know about this please?

Javascript is an internet scripting language usually built into most browsers. Almost every site on the internet uses java script in some way, shape, or form. You don't have to buy javascript since it comes in almost every internet browser. Java (different from java script) is a oop coding language that can be embedded on some internet websites. Java is free to download from Sun (the company who makes it) on multiple operating systems. What you are seeing is probably some silly scam or phishing operation.

Reply:Java is made by Sun and its fee- you do not need to pay any software for it- think you may have the facts wrong. You do not need it anyway if you are surfing ok.
